The Infernal Dream of Mutt and Jeff sets the eponymous cartoon alongside an investigation of productive and unproductive bodies. A set recreates mid 20th century film studio designed to produce industrial films, here a three-channel projection presents a lesson in efficiency based on the Gilbreth’s time-motion studies, a case of contagious paranoia and a third much stranger instructional film where objects take on a life of their own, the camera refuses to stay hidden and everything goes wrong...
